FABS-916A Series

The FABS-916A series is a 15.6” (1366 x 768 (default) or 1920 x 1080 (optional)) food-grade stainless steel panel PC that is designed for harsh industrial environments where a high level of hygiene and sanitation are required. The FABS-916A is powered by an Intel 6th generation Core i3/i5 processor with DDR4 memory. It has a wide range of rugged/hygienic features and customisable options that make it ideal for a wide variety of applications, including food and beverage processing & manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing & packaging, biotechnology and cosmetics manufacturing.

The FABS-916A is housed in a fanless, rugged aluminium enclosure with a 304 or optional 316 grade stainless steel bezel that provides IP66/IP69K front panel water and dust protection. The stainless steel front bezel provides anti-corrosion, anti-bacteria, and anti-oxidation protection, making it durable and rugged, even when it is exposed to harsh conditions. The whole series is CE/FCC Class A certified, and the projected capacitive touch version has been optimised to meet the hygienic design requirements of DIN EN 1672-2, a high standard for food and beverage processing. As a whole, the rugged design of the FABS-916A offers 24/7 reliability, makes it easy to clean, reduces maintenance cost, and provides a long-lasting rugged enclosure.

It features a 15.6” TFT-LCD display with a 1366 x 768 (default) or 1920 x 1080 (optional) resolution. The FABS-916A also supports resistive touch, ideal for use with gloves or in areas where the display may be covered in liquid, dirt, or dust, or projected capacitive touch, a more rugged option with anti-scratch protection. Optional high brightness features also help to make the screen visible in increased sunlight areas, making it ideal for a range of applications and environments, including in outdoor environments.

The FABS-916A includes: 2 x COM, 2 x GbE LAN ports, and 2 x USB3.0 ports as well as support for internal Mini-PCIe expansion modules. Communication and network options include 4G, WiFi and BT. Additional COM, LAN and USB ports can also be included. The internal 2.5” SATA HDD is easy to access allowing the data storage to be easily upgraded at any time.

The FABS-916A also supports DC 9~36V power input and an operating temperature range of 0°C~50°C (optional -20~60˚C) enabling it to run continuously even in harsh industrial environments. The chassis features a compact depth, making it ideal for applications with limited room. Support for both Panel and VESA mounting also makes the FABS Series convenient to install, and allows the system to be ergonomically positioned for operator convenience.
