AITRON-821C Series

The AITRON-821C is a 21.5" compact, rugged industrial HMI designed for smart manufacturing, industrial automation and IIoT applications. It is powered by the Intel® Atom™ x7425E quad-core processor with integrated Intel® UHD Graphics, delivering efficient CPU and GPU performance for HMI visualisation, machine control, data monitoring and edge computing workloads.

The system supports 1 x DDR5-4800MHz SO-DIMM up to 32GB and features an M.2 2280 M-Key slot supporting SATA or PCIe 3.0 x1 SSDs, providing fast and reliable storage for industrial operating systems and applications. Graphics output is provided via 1 x HDMI 1.4, supporting resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 30Hz, enabling clear visualisation on large-format displays.

For industrial connectivity, the AITRON-821C offers a balanced I/O configuration including 2 x USB 3.2 Gen1, 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x RS-232/422/485 serial ports, and 2 x 2.5GbE LAN ports based on Intel® I226 controllers. This enables straightforward integration with PLCs, sensors, industrial networks and peripheral devices. Wireless and cellular expansion is supported via an M.2 2230 E-Key slot for optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules and an M.2 3042/3052 B-Key slot with Nano-SIM for optional LTE or 5G connectivity. There is also the option to add an additional 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A or 1 x COM port (supports RS-232).

The front of the system features a 21.5" TFT-LCD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, combined with a projected capacitive multi-touch screen and 7H anti-scratch glass surface. The true-flat aluminium front bezel is IP66-rated, providing protection against dust and water ingress while maintaining a slim, narrow-bezel design suitable for panel mounting. Optional display enhancements include 1000nit high-brightness, auto-dimming, optical bonding, anti-glare (AG), anti-reflection (AR) and anti-UV surface treatments for improved visibility and durability in high-ambient-light or semi-outdoor environments.

Designed for industrial reliability, the AITRON-821C uses a fanless cooling architecture with an aluminium die-casting chassis to support stable operation across a 0°C to 50°C operating temperature range. A wide 9–36V DC power input allows deployment across diverse industrial power systems. Supporting Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, Windows 11, and Linux, along with features such as TPM 2.0, watchdog timer and Wake-on-LAN, the AITRON-821C is well suited to factory automation, industrial control panels, kiosks and other modern industrial applications.
