Features Include:
The MC-346 is a marine box PC designed to deliver high-performance computing power directly into demanding maritime environments such as commercial vessels, offshore platforms, and marine automation systems. This specialised marine computer features exceptional processing flexibility, driven by 13th Generation Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors to easily handle resource-intensive navigation, radar, and vessel tracking software on the move. To ensure smooth multitasking and extensive local storage capability, the system can be configured with up to 64GB of ultra-fast DDR5 SO-DIMM system memory alongside a highly versatile storage subsystem that accommodates a high-speed M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 SSD and dual 2.5-inch hot-swappable SSD drive bays supporting RAID 0 and 1 configurations.
For comprehensive bridge connectivity and marine sensor tracking, this marine box PC features a rich array of physical I/O interfaces tailored for shipboard infrastructure. High-speed wired networking is handled via four 2.5GbE LAN ports, while external hardware integration is supported by four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and six serial ports consisting of four dedicated NMEA 0183 (COM1 through COM4 via RS-422/485) ports for marine instrumentation and two standard multi-mode RS-232/422/485 interfaces on COM5 and COM6. High-definition visual outputs are provided through two DisplayPort (DP++) interfaces supporting up to 4K resolution each, while wireless expansion is easily integrated via an internal SIM card slot and dedicated expansion slots supporting optional Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and high-bandwidth 4G LTE/5G cellular modems.
Engineered to endure the unique mechanical stress and environmental challenges of marine deployment, the MC-346 is built with a heavy-duty aluminium alloy enclosure utilising an entirely fanless thermal design to eliminate moving parts. It manages harsh environmental conditions with an impressive operational temperature threshold of -20°C to 60°C and accommodates a wide-range 9 to 36VDC vehicle and marine power input subsystem. Crucially for critical bridge operations, the hardware design features official certification for strict marine standards including IEC 60945 for navigational equipment, IEC 61162-1/2 for digital maritime interfaces, and IACS E10 (pending) compliance for electrical installations on ships.
With a compact and space-saving physical form factor, this low-profile marine box PC is ideally suited for tight installations within bridge consoles, equipment racks, or vessel machinery spaces. The unit features a robust wall mount chassis for secure, rigid installation onto bulkheads. Enterprise software and security compatibility are well covered, offering native support for standard Windows 10, Windows 11, and Ubuntu 22.04 Linux operating systems alongside an onboard hardware TPM 2.0 module to meet strict cyber security regulations.
For advanced maritime automation and safety integration, the marine box PC offers further customisable functionality with options for two CAN2.0B ports to interface with vessel networks, eight channels of isolated digital input/output (DIO) for direct sensor monitoring, and a precise GNSS navigation module for backup satellite tracking. Five SMA-type antenna punch-outs are provided on the chassis to facilitate clean, external RF signal routing. This ruggedised marine box PC provides vessel operators and maritime systems integrators with an exceptional combination of high-tier 13th Gen Intel Core processing power, dedicated NMEA marine ports, and marine-certified industrial durability.
