The BOXER-6647-MTH is a compact, fanless embedded box PC with a range of rugged features. It combines a unique, easy access design with the new Intel® Core™ Ultra processor platform all in a compact, rugged fanless box PC capable of operating in space-constrained and harsh environments. Ideal for advanced robotics and edge computing applications, the BOXER-6647-MTH harnesses an integrated NPU to execute AI and machine learning tasks directly, allowing the system to efficiently allocate resources required for real-time operation to its CPU and GPU. The BOXER-6647-MTH has been uniquely designed with this combination of features making it suitable for a variety of applications, including robotics solutions such as AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) and AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots).
The BOXER-6647-MTH is the first system from AAEON's BOXER-6000 range to harness the new Intel® Core™ Ultra processor platform. The disaggregated die architecture of this platform allows the BOXER-6647-MTH to offload hardware-optimized instructions for tensor operations and matrix multiplication to its NPU, enhancing the bandwidth available to its CPU and GPU for other compute tasks. It also features two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots for up to 64GB of memory. As a result, applications such as AGV and AMR can run more efficiently, accurately, and with lower latency.
Equipped with three 2.5GbE LAN, six USB (2 x USB2.0, 4 x USB3.2), and three serial ports (dual COM and DIO), the BOXER-6647-MTH is able to support a range of cameras, sensors (LIDAR, IMUs), and actuators that might be required for a variety of applications, including advanced robotics. It also features two HDMI ports, allowing for dual display connection, providing further flexibility for operators. Alongside this, M.2 E and B-Key expansion slots facilitate Wi-Fi and 5G module installation for ultra-fast, low-latency communication over a wide area, making the BOXER-6647-MTH's deployment range particularly versatile.
Measuring just 220mm x 154mm x 62.1mm, the BOXER-6647-MTH is a compact system, making its dense interface selection all the more impressive. Further, the system is fully sealed from the elements, with heat dissipation relying on a new thermal heatsink design that does not require chassis ventilation, while still maintaining a -20°C~60°C temperature range, making it not only ideal for space-sensitive settings, but also incredibly durable. It also features a wide power input range (9V~36V DC), and anti-vibration and anti-shock protection.
The BOXER-6647-MTH has a unique, user-friendly design that features external SATA and M.2 M-Key device trays, making it easy to swap, upgrade, or replace SATA and M.2 NVMe storage devices without even opening the system. As such, the BOXER-6647-MTH allows for seamless data retrieval or storage rotation without the need for system downtime.
