Interworld Electronics has released the XTENDEX® DP8K-FOxxM-MMLC Optical Fibre DisplayPort Active Cables. These Optical Fibre Active Cables can extend DisplayPort signals up to 100 metres from the video source. Using optical fibre, the DP8K-FO-xxM-MMLC provides high reliability DisplayPort signal transmission with zero signal loss in high noise environments.
The DP8K-FO-xxM-MMLC supports Ultra-HD 8K (7680x4320) @60Hz, 4Kx2K (4096x2160 and 3840x2160) @120Hz, and HDTV 1080p @240Hz. Supported DisplayPort features include:
  • DisplayPort 1.4
  • Up to 16-bit Colour and 48-bit Deep Colour
  • YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2, and RGB
  • LPCM
  • Bandwidth up to 32.4Gbps.
The DP8K-FOxxM-MMLC is HDCP 2.2 compliant and features EDID learning for the support of any DisplayPort display device. Eight different cables lengths are available ranging from 10 metres to 100 metres.
Because the DisplayPort signals are transmitted using laser light the DP8K-FO-xxM-MMLC is resistant to interference from electrical noise. Also, the DP8K-FO-xxM-MMLC does not produce any radio frequency interference. This makes the Active Fibre Optic Cables ideal for industrial environments or applications that are sensitive to RFI/EMI radiation.
