Interworld Electronics has released the BOXER-6313VS Intel Atom E3845 based In-Vehicle embedded controller from Aaeon. The BOXER-6313VS is a high performance standalone embedded PC featuring fanless operation, compact size, robust construction and low power requirements. The BOXER-6313VS has passed extensive environmental testing and conforms to the E13 and ISO 7637 standards for electrical disturbances road vehicle equipment and features Vehicle Cold Crank and Load Dump protection.
BOXER-6313VS is supplied with an Intel Atom E3845 1.91GHz multi-core processor to provide a state-of-the-art embedded computing platform. The BOXER-6313VS is equipped with one SODIMM socket supporting up to 8GB of DDR3L system memory, two Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet connectors, one USB 3.0 and three USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232 ports and two RS-232/422/485 ports as well as one CANBUS port for communication. Two 2.5" SATA 3.0 hard drives or SSD’s can be internally mounted for operating system and data storage while an internal CFast slot supports the next generation Compact Flash storage cards. System expansion is provided via three full size Mini-Card slots with SIM card support. The BOXER-6313VS features one VGA and one HDMI video output allowing two video displays to be simultaneously connected. Optional four port Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE) support is also available.
The fanless design of the BOXER-6313VS reduces the possibility of airborne corrosive or conductive materials entering the system while its rugged construction allows the BOXER-6313VS to survive the constant vibration common to In-Vehicle environments.
The BOXER-6313VS will operate on 9 to 30 VDC power supplies allowing it to support +12VDC and +24VDC Vehicle power. The BOXER-6313VS can operate in temperatures ranging from -15°C to 65°C and can withstand 50G shock when using SSD storage.
The BOXER-6313VS is ideal for passenger information systems or transport controller applications.
