The Trenton BXT7059 single board computer supports 8, 6 or 4-core Intel® Xeon® E5-2400 Series processor and PCI Express® Gen 3 functionality to provide a state of the art high performance-computing platform. The BXT7059 is a PICMG® 1.3 system host board (SHB) that automatically configures all PCI Express links between the board and target devices for optimum data throughput.
The Intel® Xeon® E5-2400 series processors provide 8, 6 or 4-core, multi-threaded performance with increased thermal efficiency. These processors feature integrated memory and I/O controllers, Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology, Intel® Virtualization Technology and integral PCI Express Gen 3.0 interface links. The BXT7059 six memory sockets support the latest DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 DDR3 mini-DIMM technology. Up to 96GBytes can be installed using 16GByte DDR3 mini-DIMM modules.
The PCI Express links on the BXT7059 support one PCIe x16, two PCIE x8 and multiple x4 and x1 expansion cards. Trenton’s optional IOB33 and PEX10 modules can be used to provide additional x4 and x16 PCIe expansion links to the system. Other BXT7059 features include three 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet interfaces, eight USB 2.0 interfaces, four SATA II/300 and two SATA II/600 interfaces with RAID support. The BXT7059 utilizes the processors integrated graphic controller to provide an on-board VGA video interface.
