Interworld Electronics has released the Acces I/O USB-AI Series of Analogue Input modules. These modules provide the ideal solution for adding portable, easy-to-install high-speed analogue and digital I/O capabilities to any computer with a USB port.

The modules are USB 2.0 devices, offering the highest speed available on the USB bus. The modules can be configured to provide 16 single ended or 8 differential analogue inputs. Each analogue input channel can be independently programmed to accept 8 different input ranges. Additionally, each channel contains its own analogue ground pin, which is helpful in reducing noise and cross channel interference. The USB-AI Series includes both 12-bit and 16-bit analogue to digital converters.

Analogue input accuracy is determined by how well the analogue inputs are calibrated. All USB-AI Series modules support software calibration whiles selected models include a unique, real-time internal auto-calibration system, which allows the modules to continually adjust for offset and gain errors. All models in the Series include 16 digital I/O lines that can be programmed in blocks of 8 inputs or outputs.

Available models include the USB-AI12-16 16 channel, 12-Bit, 500kHz sample rate module with real time auto-calibration, the USB-AI12-16E (Economy version) 16 channel, 12-Bit, 250kHz module with software calibration, the USB-AI12-16R (Reduced version) 16 channel, 12-Bit, 100kHz module with software calibration, the USB-AI16-16 16-Bit, 500kHz module with real time auto-calibration and the USB-AI16-16E (Economy version) 16 channel, 16-Bit, 250kHz module with software calibration.

The USB-AI Series modules are housed in a steel powder-coated enclosure with an anti-skid bottom. Board only OEM versions of the modules are also available and are supplied as a PCB without an enclosure.

The USB-AI Modules are fully compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports and support plug-and-play allowing quick connect or disconnect whenever you need additional I/O on your USB port.
